The Shut Down
Three artists started painting this model together, just as Covid hit. We paused and then resumed over the summer, masked, sanitized and ventilated. Stilting, stultifying, stuck, as I considered the plight of fellow artists of all disciplines. Thus, the props changed a bit as the story and feelings we brought with us changed over the course of painting. Oil on canvas, 36"x36", $4,200.
